Jack Lail is director of news innovation for the Knoxville News Sentinel.
He coordinated the APME Online Journalism Credibility Project on story comments in Knoxville in May 2009.
He has been in the newspaper business for more than 30 years. He has been involved in the digital media since 1994, and pioneered the News Sentinel's online properties, knoxnews.com, govolsxtra.com and knoxville.com. The sites have won numerous awards over the years from the NAA's Edgie Awards, E&P's Eppy Awards, Inland New Frontier Awards, SPJ's Green Eye Shade Awards and others.
He is a former board member of the NAA's Digital Media Federation, just completed his first year on the APME board and has served on SPJ's New Technologies Committee.
