Tim Porter is an editor and writer with an extensive background in print and digital journalism.

He is associate director of Tomorrow’s Workforce. Porter was founding editor of Examiner.com, the online operation of the San Francisco Examiner. He was also assistant managing editor for news, metro editor and business editor for the Examiner. Before that, he was editor of the Richmond Independent, a 45,000-daily in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Porter has also been a consultant for information intensive companies such as Goldman Sachs, Charles Schwab and Glass, Lewis & Co., providing advice on financial services research, product development and workflow.

He writes about photography and writing, professional and personal, in his blog, Second Draft.

Porter lives in Mill Valley, Calif.
