Race and ethnicity had never been more central to the coverage of the presidential campaign than right before the 2008 presidential election.
Whether you were covering a national campaign or the voters in your community, your stories likely touched on these issues.
This Webinar is part of a three-part series, "2008 Election Series." Others in the series are:

- Covering the Election at the Local Level: A Poynter/NewsU Replay, originally broadcast Aug. 21, 2008, with Butch Ward, acting general manager and a member of the faculty of The Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla.
What Will I Learn:
- How to confront the white-hot issue of racial conflict with more precise and accurate coverage
