About Online Group Seminars

In an online group seminar, you will gather with other participants in a virtual space, logging in from anywhere, day or night, over the course of several weeks. A faculty member guides the group through new material, moderates discussions and provides individual feedback.

We will offer this online group seminar on the following dates in 2012:
February 27 to March 23, 2012

Whether you publish online, in print or on a mobile platform, content is the driving force behind every design decision you make. Get the tools you need to plan and create thoughtful, expressive and engaging news design. Explore the fundamentals of how words and images work together, how typography can enhance the meaning of a story, how the use of proportion and the grid can help the pacing of a story, and how color palettes can create a consistent look for your entire publication.

  • How fact boxes and other graphic devices draw readers into a story
