About Webinars

In this virtual classroom, participants can join in a seminar led by Poynter faculty and visiting faculty. This screencast includes live audio and a slideshow presentation in which participants can post questions and respond to poll questions posed by the host.

Every video producer feels the pressure of wanting to include great storytelling detail, but worrying that a long run time will scare away viewers (or annoy managers). Verse interactive video tools help to solve this dilemma.

Give viewers the option to navigate to sidebars like interactive Q&As for valuable interview extras that didn’t fit the main story. If you have beautiful additional drone shots or time lapses, add a multimedia slideshow. Or break the mold and offer your audience a non-linear story using the Pathfinder tool. It helps viewers find their own path through stories, resulting in higher engagement and happier viewers.

Verse also recently added 360 video/4k capability. Use it to immerse viewers in your location as a main feature or sidebar. You can add links to other videos, web links or additional 360s in several different ways.

All of the tools are simple to use, individually or combined into a project. Once you hit the publish button, your project is embeddable — no web developers required. And you can try out Verse for free.
