One spreadsheet plus one program equals one Google Map with custom place markers.

ZeeMaps is great for mapping lists. Create one spreadsheet with your list of addresses, urls, photos, and videos. Designate those items to a location and import the spreadsheet to ZeeMaps. ZeeMaps will automatically mark a Google Map with your location and content.

After you've added all the information you want and imported it to ZeeMaps, you'll have a map that can be easily published onto a web page or blog.

Abbie Fentress Swanson

Abbie Fentress Swanson is a freelance student reporter for KALW 91.7 FM in San Francisco, and the editor and publisher of dirtypop, an independent magazine about women and LBGTQ people working in music, art and pop culture. Prior to her radio and magazine work, Swanson worked in book publishing and as a labor reporter in New York City. She interned on the News Desk at The Patriot Ledger in Boston, and has traveled to Egypt, Qatar and India on reporting trips. Swanson is now in her second year at Berkeley's Graduate Journalism School, and is a native of central Virginia.
