Poynter's News University International, in partnership with the International Center for Journalists [ICFJ], is the home of the world's most innovative online journalism and media training programs. The partnership builds on NewsU's unparalleled online-learning expertise and ICFJ's global reach and vast experience in training journalists around the world. We are taking the very best from Poynter’s NewsU and transforming these interactive training modules into other languages with relevant examples.
We are open to journalists, bloggers, freelance writers, journalism students and educators. We welcome everyone who wants to improve their journalism-based skills. NewsU serves more than 165,000 users in English through self-directed courses, group seminars and Webinars, covering subjects from multimedia techniques, to writing, to reporting and beyond.
Our Public Beta
While we have opened our doors as part of our public beta, we have lots to do and build. We are transforming, with local examples, more multimedia training and reporting training modules. We will launch those modules as they are completed, so check back to see what's new. Our first courses will be in Persian and in Russian.
If you have questions or comments or want to fund the transformation of a NewsU module, please send a note to info@newsu.org.
