This is an assignment for a sophomore-level editing class. Students post four times to a public class blog on topics related to newspapers, magazines, editing or journalism in some way. A grading rubric is included.

The assignment familiarizes students with:

-- writing in a style appropriate to a blog -- the technical skills of writing and editing a simple blog post -- the interactive nature of the Web -- writing to trigger search engines
