Dickson Louie

Dickson Louie, a longtime instructor for management programs at The Maynard Institute, is principal of Louie & Associates, a San Francisco Bay Area consulting firm that provides strategic planning, marketing research and competitive analysis support to start-ups, nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies. He previously was advertising business manager and director of strategic planning for the San Francisco Chronicle.

While he was at the Chronicle, from 2002 to 2006, he helped launch The San Francisco Chronicle Press imprint, 96 Hours, and the Friday East Bay section.

Between tenures with the Los Angeles Times and the San Jose Mercury News, Louie was appointed as a research associate at the Harvard Business School. He also is a contributing author of two textbooks, "E-Commerce" (McGraw-Hill/Irwin, 2000) and "Introduction to E-Commerce" (McGraw-Hill/Irwin, 2001), and has been a guest lecturer at the University of California at Irvine, Northwestern University, Harvard Law School and the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Louie has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and is a C.P.A.
